Saliu's original design "Ryo" series is made entirely by hand by traditional master craftsman Hirotaka Umehara. The vermilion clay used contains a high level of iron. It is baked at high temperatures and carbonized to give it a unique black color.

Like kyusu tea pots, this cup uses soil that is highly water resistant, which is a characteristic of Tokoname ware, so you can use it with confidence even if it is filled with water for a long time. The fine-grained soil creates a pleasant texture.
急須と同じ、常滑焼の特徴である耐水性に長けた土を使っているため長い時間水を入れても安心にお使いいただけます。目の細かい土により、口当たりの良い質感に仕上がっています。
