Tea farmer Hiroki Matsumoto-san smokes black tea with a number of different types of wood. The wood used to smoke the green tea (spring sencha) changes from production to production, and gives a hint of smokiness to compliment the vegetal notes of the tea.

Tasting notes

Soft yet strongly smoky tea. The warm vegetal green notes are balanced by a potent but smooth smoky notes, which linger for a long time. The combination of the flavours creates an interesting and soothing brew.
