PREOEDER 2026 #0596.K4 Ikegawa Tea Farm Coop: First Flush Kochi Sencha, Kiri no Kaori 池川一番茶煎茶[霧の薫]
A first flush sencha whose leaves were carefully harvested from tea fields that see abundant fog in the early morning hours of spring. The tea fields are managed by a small cooperative of six families in the idyllic Niyodogawa Village of Kochi Prefecture.
Recommended for those looking for a reasonably priced sencha that can be enjoyed on a day-to-day basis. One will appreciate the mellow taste, high aroma and pleasant lingering aftertaste coming from this first flush harvest.
The flavour is balanced and refreshing, no single flavour is overly strong. Instead, the different notes mingle together, creating a flavour reminiscent of a wind blowing through lush greenery in the summertime. The tea has a slightly cucumber like aroma that is soft and soothing, and lingers around even after one has finished drinking.
